Introduction to the Countryside

We believe that time spent outside and in nature is important for our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

Our Introduction to the Countryside days help young people from cities develop a greater understanding of the countryside and all it offers.  We cover the following as part of our walks:

  • The Countryside Code
  • Guided observation of bird, animal and plant life
  • Observations about human use of the land
  • Observation of the food production chain from field to shelf.
  • Exploration of the different reasons people love the natural world, including emotional and mental wellbeing, creativity and adventure.

All our activities are bespoke and designed to work for your context and group.
